Use a ring that fits comfortably as your starting point, then check the sizing and fit notes on the ring you would like to order.
Use a ring you already own
Choose a ring that fits comfortably on the same finger where you plan to wear your new ring. A ring with a similar band width makes the most useful comparison. If you know its size, use that as a reference when reviewing the available size options.
Measure a comfortable-fitting ring
Lay your reference ring flat on a ruler marked in millimeters. Measure straight across the inside of the band, from one inner edge to the opposite inner edge, through the center. Measure only the open space, not the metal band. This is the ring's inside diameter.
If you are unsure how your measurement relates to the sizes offered, contact Golden Rune Jewelry before ordering. Share your measurement, the ring you are interested in, and whether your reference ring has a narrow or wide band. A jeweler can also help confirm your ring size.
Choose a fixed-size ring
For rings offered in specific sizes, select your size from the available product options before adding the ring to your cart. Your reference ring or measurement helps you choose; it does not change the size of the selected ring. Check the individual product description for any additional fit notes.
Check wide-band fit notes
Wider bands may fit more snugly than traditional narrow rings. If your usual size is based on a thin band, keep the wider construction in mind. Compare with a similar-width ring where possible, and ask for help if you are uncertain. Follow the individual ring's fit notes rather than assuming a standard size adjustment.
Adjustable rings are different
Choosing a fixed-size variant is separate from preadjusting an adjustable ring. If a ring is described as adjustable, follow that product's own adjustment or preadjustment instructions. Do not assume a fixed-size ring can be opened, squeezed, or adjusted at home.
If a ring fits a little loosely
Ring size adjusters are inserts or spiral guards intended to improve the fit of rings that are slightly too large. They do not make a ring that is too small larger and do not permanently resize the ring. Suitability and comfort depend on the ring's design, band width, and the amount of adjustment needed.
